Does This Man Have A New Calling? Rock Star
by Mike Kravinsky

Does Adam Bevell have a new career?  The 36 year old Mesa, Arizona man who became blind as an adult, was at the U2 concert in Nashville on July 2nd. Standing in the front row, he was holding a small sign that read, "Blind guitar player. Bring me up."

Just when Bevell thought the concert was over, Bono noticed him and called Bevell on-stage. He was lifted up and Bono was there. He asked what he wanted to play. Bevell told him "All I want is you." It's his and his wife's song.

When asked about it later by KPHO Scottsdale he said, "For me, it was just an out-of-body experience. I was there, but I was floating. It was the most amazing experience."

Wait, it gets even better. After the performance Bono gave him the guitar he was playing, Bono's own Gretsch Green Irish Falcon.

Bevell has played guitar for about 20 years, but only for family and friends.  In one moment, he got pulled onstage and does an electrifying performance for a stadium full of people. So, does Adam Bevell a married father of four and former school teacher have a new career? Take a look at the video.
