From AIG to Popsicles - Very Cool
by Mike Kravinsky

Steven Carse was an analyst at AIG; that is until the 27 year old was fired from the "to big to fail" company. With no job, the Atlanta resident, decided to try something completely different. He and brother Nick bought a rolling cart and opened King of Pops. A popsicle stand. They sell only homemade, gourmet, fresh ingredient vegan pops.

This was a dream of theirs since they first tasted paletas during a visit to Central America. As word spread and the concept grew, Nick, who had only worked part time with King of Pops, decided to quit his law practice to work full time with the venture.

With flavors like strawberry lemon, tangerine basil, pineapple habanero and chocolate sea salt, the brothers operation has grown to three cities in just over a year. Carts are located in Atlanta, Asheville, NC, and Charleston SC.  They also now sell the pops at retail location as well. Nice next act after cubicles, spreadsheets and derivatives The brothers have an eye on even more expansion.
